Amazon has officially announced a new unscripted reality show titled Fallout Shelter: The Experiment. The series is scheduled to begin streaming on Amazon Prime Video starting January 13, 2027.
The production consists of 10 episodes inspired by the Fallout franchise. Set within a Vault-Tec shelter, participants will compete for a large cash prize by navigating increasingly difficult challenges.
The project was initially introduced with a working title in January 2026, during which time the casting process for participants began. The recent announcement confirms the final title and the specific premiere date.
This reality series is separate from the live-action Fallout drama also available on Amazon Prime Video. While the drama series has been confirmed for a third season with filming slated to start in the summer of 2026, Fallout Shelter: The Experiment focuses on the Vault-themed competition format.
