According to a union representative speaking to Le Monde, negotiations regarding the studio's future are approaching a critical deadline. The discussions are scheduled to conclude on 13 November, at which point a final decision must be reached.
The union representative noted that talks concerning employee protection plans are currently struggling, alleging that Microsoft representatives have failed to provide viable alternatives. Consequently, the potential closure threatens the jobs of more than 200 employees.
While Microsoft claims to be actively seeking a partner to allow the studio to continue its operations, time is running out. Unions are requesting additional time to resolve the situation, as the company remains under the shadow of previous Xbox division cuts and project cancellations.
