Neowiz is currently developing a successor to its acclaimed soulslike title, Lies of P. According to a job posting from Nough Studio, the upcoming action RPG will move away from the original's setting to offer a unique interpretation of The Wizard of Oz, a direction supported by the company's recent registration of the trademark Wonders of O.
The new project is being built using Unreal Engine 5. The studio is seeking a character concept artist to help deliver high-quality graphics, deep level design, and intense action gameplay. Responsibilities include designing weapons, costumes, and various body types, suggesting the inclusion of grotesque creatures similar to those found in the previous game.
Candidates must demonstrate significant experience with the genre, specifically requiring proof of having played over 30 hours of Lies of P and completing at least three other soulslike titles. The developer explicitly mandates experience in creating games for PC and consoles, indicating a multi-platform release strategy.
Nough Studio director Choi Ji.Won stated in August that the team aims to create a project that is both fun and emotionally moving. The developers emphasize a rigorous testing process to ensure the entire team is satisfied with the final product before release.
