Key information

Pearl Abyss has released a new patch for the PC version of Black Desert, specifically targeting a defensive meta that the developer deemed overpowered. The adjustments aim to disrupt a build style that allowed players to become nearly impossible to defeat during large-scale PvP encounters.

To address this imbalance, the update increases the minimum applied attack power in PvP from 5% to 7% when a target's defensive statistics surpass the attacker's offensive power. This change is intended to provide opponents with more effective ways to counter players who previously disrupted groups without consequence.

Beyond combat balancing, the PC update introduces revamps for high-tier boss encounters. These include adjustments to rewards for the solo Black Shrine Donghae mode and improvements to loot drops from blue whales, alongside various general bug fixes.

Black Desert Mobile is also seeing changes, primarily focused on nightmare instances. The update adds Noble Tear rewards to the Sunken Ruins, expands the area of that instance, and confirms a new rotation schedule for nightmare content beginning in November. Smaller class adjustments and UI improvements are also included.
