Key information

Rockstar Games is set to elevate its signature attention to detail in Grand Theft Auto 6, aiming to surpass the immersive design standards established in previous titles. According to information shared by journalist Jason Schreier following a visit to Rockstar North, the upcoming open-world game features a highly granular simulation of character physiology.

A notable mechanic involves dynamic perspiration for protagonists Jason Duval and Lucía Caminos. The characters will produce varying levels of sweat based on their physical exertion. For instance, Lucía will visibly sweat during intense dancing at a nightclub, while Jason's perspiration levels will fluctuate depending on the difficulty of his gym workouts.

This level of simulation is being compared to the temperature-reactive horse anatomy featured in Red Dead Redemption 2. Beyond character-specific details, the game promises a reactive and unpredictable world within the state of Leónida, which is inspired by Florida, offering players diverse experiences outside of the main narrative missions.

Grand Theft Auto 6 is scheduled for release on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. A version without a physical disc will be available for pre-download starting November 12. Rockstar has not yet announced a version for PC.
