Key information
Blizzard has confirmed that World of Warcraft: Forever will launch with an additional server type following community feedback. While the game was initially announced with PvE, PvP, PvE Roleplay, and Hardcore options, players requested further variety for combat-focused roleplayers.
The development team initially expressed reservations regarding the inclusion of Roleplay PvP servers. However, after internal debates and reviewing the necessary requirements, the studio decided to implement this ruleset to accommodate the preferences of the player base.
In these specific servers, the roleplay component will remain the primary focus despite the presence of combat between the Alliance and Horde factions. Players choosing this environment should expect a gameplay experience centered on character immersion alongside open player-versus-player conflict.
Players who pre-ordered paid editions can reserve up to three character names per account starting October 27. These names will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, allowing users to secure their identities before the official game launch on November 5.
