Key information

Mainframe Industries has officially integrated horse riding into the sandbox MMORPG Pax Dei. This update aims to accelerate travel across the game's expansive environments, though the developer notes that mounted players may become more prominent targets for those engaging in PvP combat.

The new mount system includes a dedicated riding skill for players to progress, alongside craftable saddles produced via leatherworking. Mounted characters are currently unable to engage in combat. Additionally, the horses feature saddlebag inventory slots and a courage mechanic. A subsequent patch has already adjusted the system by increasing saddle durability while reducing the experience point gains associated with the riding skill.

Beyond mounts, the update introduces several quality-of-life features. These include an auto-run function for roads, a tool for removing grass, and the ability to specify exact quantities when crafting items. The developers also added new earnable titles and implemented an automated chat moderation system.

To celebrate the first anniversary of the MMO, the studio plans to host a boost event during a long weekend scheduled for next week. Detailed information regarding these changes is available in the official patch notes.
