A GeForce RTX 5090, part of a shipment stolen from Guarulhos International Airport in September, was discovered listed on OLX for R$ 32,000. The stolen cargo, belonging to the distributor Oderço, was valued at R$ 2.5 million and consisted of Zotac graphics cards imported from the United States.
Security footage and police reports indicate that two forklift operators moved the cargo on September 21 before customs procedures were finalized, while a third employee allegedly authorized the exit through the terminal's electronic system.
Investigators identified the specific card via its serial number in an online advertisement. Police located the hardware in Santa Bárbara d’Oeste, where a man was initially arrested for suspected receiving of stolen goods. He was later released after providing proof of purchase for R$ 26,400 via Mercado Livre, claiming he was unaware of the item's illicit origin.
While one unit has been recovered, the whereabouts of the remaining cargo remain unknown. GRU Airport stated it is cooperating with authorities, as the incident has prompted significant concerns regarding terminal security.
