Developer Motion Twin has released the "0.9999999 Update" for the roguelite action game Windblown, currently in early access on PC via Steam. This marks the final major content update before the title's scheduled full release in 2026. The game features solo and up to three-player online cooperative play, tasking users with navigating floating islands to battle enemies and bosses while gathering resources to unlock permanent upgrades.
The latest update focuses on refining gameplay mechanics and accessibility. A new "attack preview" feature now displays the timing and location of enemy strikes, which players can disable in settings. Additionally, the shop system has been adjusted to allow players to select specific categories for items, skills, and upgrades, reducing randomness while maintaining variety. Other additions include an auto-combo function, new floating island areas, and adjustable camera distance settings.
Technical improvements accompany these gameplay changes, including performance optimizations and official support for Steam Input and the Nintendo Switch Pro controller. These adjustments aim to polish the experience as the game approaches its version 1.0 milestone.
Windblown is currently available on Steam. To coincide with the update, the developer is offering a 30% discount, bringing the price to 2100 yen (tax included) until November 5.
