Developer PEPPERTUNA officially announced its upcoming title, OUTLIER, on October 22, 2026. Alongside the announcement, the studio released a new trailer for the project.
OUTLIER is an online hide-and-seek game set within the backrooms that supports up to 16 players. Participants suffer from a condition that compels them to perform various movements, such as breakdancing or the moonwalk, and must find ways to alleviate these urges without being detected by guards.
Guards patrol the area armed with guns, actively searching for staff members acting suspiciously. Players must blend in by mimicking the walking and standing patterns of other staff wearing identical protective suits. Additionally, players are warned to remember to salute if a guard initiates a roll call.
