Microsoft announced on October 21, 2026, that Xbox Insiders can now purchase cloud gaming time packages without a Game Pass subscription. These introductory offers include 10 hours for $3.99, 25 hours for $7.99, and 50 hours for $11.99. A broader rollout is scheduled for November.
These packages provide an ad-free experience with high-quality streaming and shorter wait times. Purchased hours do not expire and remain available until used. However, these packages do not grant access to the Game Pass library; users must own the games they wish to play or utilize supported free titles.
Starting in November, Microsoft will also implement monthly streaming caps for Game Pass subscribers, who currently enjoy unlimited access. Limits will be set at 15 hours for Ultimate, 10 hours for Premium, and 5 hours for Essential tiers. Microsoft estimates these changes will impact approximately 4 percent of subscribers.
Access to these features remains subject to market, device, and account eligibility. While the new packages offer a path for non-subscribers, Microsoft notes that current pricing is subject to change. Additionally, Xbox Insiders may still access limited, ad-supported streaming sessions for games they already own.
