Key information
Pablo Molina, a 51-year-old mechanic from Argentina, initiated a project in December 2025 to convert a 40-seat school bus into a mobile residence for his family. Seeking a home that offered the comforts of a traditional house while allowing for travel, he transitioned from a smaller camper van to this larger vehicle.
The conversion process involved significant financial investment, requiring the sale of a car and an off-road vehicle to fund the necessary renovations. Molina noted that additional personal funds were required to complete the transformation of the bus, which measures 10 meters and a half in length and 2,40 meters in width.
The interior now features a living room, dining area, kitchen, bathroom with a shower, and a master bedroom. The vehicle is equipped with solar panels and batteries that provide hot water and power for appliances, including a heating system controllable via mobile phone. Furthermore, the family installed a Starlink antenna to ensure internet connectivity in remote locations.
Although the exterior retains the appearance of a school bus, Molina intends to continue refining the vehicle. Despite these efforts, the family currently remains unable to travel extensively as Molina must continue working to support the ongoing costs of the project.
