Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 has officially launched, introducing a fresh suite of content including a narrative campaign, multiplayer modes, and an updated DMZ experience.
The campaign features an immersive, large-scale experience set against the backdrop of conflict on the Korean Peninsula. Players follow Captain Price as he operates outside of Task Force 141 on a personal quest for vengeance, navigating a series of cinematic missions that range from covert operations to massive combat encounters.
Multiplayer gameplay emphasizes realistic combat, featuring refined movement and weapon handling mechanics. The launch includes 12 new 6v6 maps and 4 Gunfight maps. Additionally, the new Killzone mode utilizes dynamic maps with over 500 potential combinations to challenge player adaptability.
The DMZ mode has been evolved based on player feedback, tasking users with scavenging and extracting from the Kawazu Exclusion Zone. New additions include the Forward Operating Base for equipment management and progression, alongside PvP bounty mechanics that reward players for hunting or being hunted.
