LiTMUS has announced that the iconic character from the horror game series Ao Oni will begin activities as a virtual YouTuber. The initiative aims to support the horror game genre by showcasing a wide variety of titles, ranging from famous releases to indie projects, through live broadcasts on the official Ao Oni Channel.
The VTuber persona will utilize Live2D technology to express reactions with its entire body in response to gameplay events. Notably, the broadcasts will follow an unusual silent style, where the character remains completely mute throughout the session, allowing viewers to focus entirely on the game's audio and visuals.
Because the character does not speak, the streams are designed as viewer-participation events. The audience is encouraged to engage via the chat section, providing commentary, reactions, and requests for future games, effectively driving the atmosphere of the broadcast.
The inaugural stream is scheduled for October 30, 2026, from 20:00 to 22:00. For this debut, the Ao Oni will play Capcom's dark fantasy action game, Onimusha Way of the Sword, which features the historical figure Miyamoto Musashi battling supernatural Genma enemies.
