Kumamoto City is hosting a free two-day inspection tour for digital content production companies, including those in gaming, animation, and CG. The event, scheduled for November 27 and 28, aims to promote regional industry growth and expand local employment opportunities for young people. The city will cover airfare and accommodation costs for participants.

The tour is designed to help companies evaluate the local business environment, support systems, and talent pool. Participants will visit existing local offices and engage with educational institutions. The city has previously attracted companies such as Aiming, C2C, Digital Hearts, and Digital Works Entertainment, with some firms successfully hiring over 20 local staff within a few years of opening their branches.

The itinerary includes an orientation by city officials and visits to established firms to discuss operational realities. On the second day, companies will participate in the CGWORLD Creative Cross event, facilitating direct interaction with students from institutions like Sojo University and Kumamoto Design College, who are trained in tools such as Unreal Engine, Maya, and Blender.

Registration for the 10 available company slots is open until October 27. While the city covers primary travel and lodging expenses for one representative per company, additional attendees must pay their own costs, and all participants are responsible for their own meal expenses during the trip.
