Key information

Infinity Ward is set to launch Modern Warfare 4 on October 23, introducing updated movement mechanics and features that depart from recent Treyarch titles. The developer has removed omnimovement, meaning players can no longer perform double jumps into high areas.

The game introduces a reworked mantling system and a refined sliding mechanic. Players can now climb specific copper-colored pipes to reach elevated positions on maps like Kill Block and the Zodiac map for Warzone.

To master these changes, players can utilize a new mobility course located in the multiplayer playlist menu. This feature offers three difficulty levels, ranging from beginner to expert, and provides rewards upon completion.

Combat adjustments include the removal of bloom, which previously caused bullet spread during hipfire. Infinity Ward notes that hipfiring is now more accurate, allowing players to engage in close-range encounters without needing to aim down sights.

Modern Warfare 4 also features extensive customization and accessibility settings. These options allow users to refine aiming, adjust movement, and manage conditions such as motion sickness or Tinnitus.
