Gorilla Studio officially released its new roguelike aerial shooter, Tang Tang Ace, on Google Play and the Apple App Store on 23. As the official successor to the global hit Tang Tang Commando, the title features a world where a zombie virus has spread to the skies, forcing animal pilots to engage in aerial combat.
The game combines traditional bullet-hell evasion with roguelike mechanics, allowing players to select random skills and build configurations during combat. Designed for one-handed vertical play, the game includes an automatic aiming feature and a slow-motion mechanic triggered by lifting a finger from the screen to help players navigate dense bullet patterns.
Matches typically last between 5 and 10 minutes. Players can choose from 11 animal pilots and 9 fighter jets, utilizing various growth systems such as equipment, weapons, and chips. Gorilla Studio notes that the game emphasizes strategic skill combinations and character customization to suit different playstyles.
To celebrate the launch, players can receive free in-game items and currency during the first 7 days. Specific events include the 'Base Departure' event starting on the 3rd day, offering rewards like the 'Phantom' jet, and the 'Star Sea Fishing' season starting on the 8th day. Additionally, the 'Meteor Bombardment' dungeon becomes available after clearing stage 12-10.
