On the 23rd, Devolver Digital announced the release of Cult of the Lamb for the Nintendo Switch 2. Players who already own the original Nintendo Switch version, whether in physical or digital format, are eligible for a free upgrade to this new iteration.
The Switch 2 version introduces technical improvements, specifically featuring enhanced resolution and a higher frame rate. Additionally, the update adds a local communication feature, allowing one game owner to play alongside another person.
Gameplay involves establishing a cult in a land ruled by false prophets. Players must gather resources, construct buildings, perform dark rituals, and deliver sermons to strengthen the faith of their followers. Outside the cult, the game offers action-oriented combat where players defeat enemy hordes and rival leaders to absorb their power.
Regarding compatibility, all previously purchased downloadable content remains fully functional on the Switch 2 version. New copies of the game are priced identically to the original Switch release, and further details are available on the official website.
