On October 23, 2026, G-Mode officially announced that the adventure game Zoku Portopia Renzoku Satsujin Jiken: Boukyaku no Maizou is scheduled for release on March 4, 2027. The title will be available on PC, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.
The project serves as a full remake of the original Famicom Portopia Renzoku Satsujin Jiken while incorporating an entirely new story. Development features a notable team, including Yuji Horii as the original creator and general director, character designs by animator Kyoji Asano of WIT STUDIO, and music composed by pianist Shinya Kiyozuka.
Pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 physical editions have commenced. Both standard and limited editions include the original Famicom version of the game as a bonus, allowing players to experience the classic title in its entirety. The limited edition further provides a booklet and an original soundtrack CD.
Prospective buyers should note that the Famicom version is not included with the digital download or Steam versions of the game. Additionally, G-Mode has unveiled the official package illustration created by Kyoji Asano.
