Supercell’s ryo has launched a new musical collaboration with the Pokemon franchise as part of the Project Voltage High ↑ initiative. The artist released the track titled “Legends” featuring Hatsune Miku, with a follow-up song named “1996” scheduled for release on October 23, 2026, at 6:39pm JST.
The “Legends” music video showcases Hatsune Miku performing alongside various Pokemon, including Rillaboom, two Toxtricities, Kricketune, and Totodile. Ryo noted that his inspiration for the track stemmed from his experience playing Pokemon Legends Z-A, specifically incorporating elements from the Mega Dimension DLC.
Ryo explained that “Legends” was composed with a message intended for children, reflecting his own excitement. Conversely, the upcoming “1996” track is dedicated to adult fans who grew up with the series. The artist stated he completed the second song some time ago but chose to share it following the debut of “Legends.”
Project Voltage High ↑ serves as a successor to the original Project Voltage, which previously featured eighteen songs corresponding to the eighteen Pokemon types. The earlier project included contributions from producers such as GigaP, Jin, and cosMo@Bousou-P.
