Key information
Nintendo announced that three Game Boy titles will join the Nintendo Switch Online library on October 27. The additions include the puzzle game Moguranya, the pinball title Pinball: 66 Hiki no Wani Daikoushin, and the action game Phantasm.
Moguranya features over 200 stages where players navigate layers to rescue family members. Pinball: 66 Hiki no Wani Daikoushin, developed by HAL Laboratory, challenges players to avoid losing balls to crocodiles. Phantasm, originally a Jaleco arcade port, allows players to possess various enemies like robots and dragons to utilize their unique abilities.
These titles were previously available on the Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console. The new Switch versions restore two-player modes for Moguranya and Pinball, supporting both local and online play. However, Moguranya lacks the Super Game Boy color palettes and frames found in the original hardware release.
Phantasm is noted as a high-value collector's item often trading for tens of thousands of yen. This release significantly improves accessibility for players who missed the 3DS version. Users can now play these games on Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch 2.
