CD Projekt RED released Update 2.5 for Cyberpunk 2077 on October 20 across PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Mac. Versions for the Mac App Store and Switch 2 are expected to arrive in the coming days.
The update expands dual-wielding capabilities, allowing the Double Trouble perk to include Power category revolvers alongside four additional perks. Players can explore the Welcome to Paradise tour narrated by Richard Night or complete the Clampdown prequel quest to earn a five-piece King gear set. Furthermore, 12 new Minor Arcana tarot cards are now hidden throughout Night City.
Technical adjustments include the introduction of DLSS 4.5 with 6X Multi Frame Generation for PC users, while FSR 3 upscaling has been removed in favor of FSR 2.1, FSR 4, and FSR 3.1 frame generation. Console players now have access to an FOV slider. Additionally, curated mods are available via mod.io, though console users cannot earn achievements or trophies while using mods.
As of October 21, the game supports Xbox Play Anywhere. This allows digital Xbox purchases to function on Windows PCs and handhelds via the Xbox app, featuring cross-platform saves and achievements. This benefit is exclusive to Xbox and Microsoft Store versions, excluding Steam and GOG copies.
