A new modification titled Dynamic Bottle Liquids has been released on Nexus Mods for the PC version of Fallout 4. This project aims to significantly upgrade the visual representation of various drinkable items found throughout the game world.
The mod draws inspiration from the realistic liquid physics seen in Half-Life: Alyx. While the base game previously rendered beverages as simple colored bottles, this modification replaces existing assets to simulate the appearance of actual liquid contained within the glass.
Advanced visual effects include light refraction through the glass and liquid, allowing players to see distorted backgrounds. Furthermore, the mod introduces dynamic movement for air bubbles and carbonation, which react realistically when the bottles are tilted or shaken by the player.
Although the mod is inspired by a VR title, the creator explicitly notes that Fallout 4 VR is not supported due to the developer lacking access to a virtual reality environment. Users are advised to check for prerequisite mods and proceed at their own risk when installing.
