Developer CD Projekt RED has launched the 2.5 update for Cyberpunk 2077, featuring content inspired by the upcoming season of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2. This update includes a new mission titled Clampdown, which functions as a prequel to the anime's new season and introduces the character King and his crew.
The Clampdown mission is not immediately accessible upon installing the update. Players must first complete the main story quest known as The Heist, which marks the conclusion of the game's first act.
In addition to finishing The Heist, players are required to complete at least two gigs assigned by Wakako. Following these tasks, players must wait to receive a specific text message from her to trigger the quest.
The author notes that skipping time by 24 hours followed by 12 hours helped trigger the necessary message. Players should monitor their phone for a text rather than a call, as the notification may not appear automatically.
