Keychron has officially released the Carbon 60 HE 8K, a 60% gaming keyboard featuring a forged carbon fiber case, plate, and keycaps. This new model is currently available for purchase through the company's online store for $234.99.
The device utilizes a 60% layout, omitting dedicated arrow keys and navigation clusters, though these functions remain accessible via layers or the Keychron Launcher software. The carbon fiber construction is reported to be 10 times more rigid than plastic, resulting in a weight of 740 g, which makes it a portable option compared to heavier aluminum alternatives.
Equipped with Ultra-Fast Lime magnetic switches, the keyboard supports adjustable actuation ranging from 0.1 mm to 3.5 mm in 0.005 mm increments. It also includes high-performance features such as 8 kHz polling, Rapid Trigger, and SOCD, all of which are configurable through the Keychron Launcher interface.
The keyboard features Cherry profile keycaps with side-printed legends for a minimalist aesthetic. Internally, the design relies on plate and bottom case foam alongside a PET pad to manage sound, maintaining a consistent foundation with the manufacturer's previous HE 8K models.
