A developer known as levi recently unveiled Utsuro, an early-stage project designed to execute Xbox One software on Apple hardware. Demonstrations indicate that Minecraft: Xbox One Edition functions effectively on iOS using touchscreen inputs, while Sonic Mania and Rocket League have also been showcased on the platform.

Unlike traditional emulators, Utsuro bypasses hardware emulation by running the console's Windows-based software layer as x86-64 code on Arm chips via FEXCore. The project utilizes Apple's Metal API to handle graphics by converting Direct3D 11.X shaders, while audio is processed through CoreAudio.

Performance varies significantly across titles. Minecraft reportedly achieves 36 to 60 FPS on macOS, and Sonic Mania maintains approximately 57 FPS with audio. Conversely, Rocket League currently struggles with dark lighting, lacks audio, and operates at a lower frame rate of 15 to 20 FPS.

Implementation remains complex, requiring users to sideload the application on iOS using tools like TrollStore, StikDebug, or a jailbroken device. Additionally, the software necessitates a decrypted game dump to function, and the macOS version currently requires manual compilation from source code.
