Ramen VR has officially announced the permanent closure of its virtual reality MMORPG, Zenith. The game, which entered maintenance mode following its final content update in 2024, is scheduled to shut down completely on Friday, December 18th.

The developer stated that the decision to terminate the project is strictly financial. Maintaining the servers has become unsustainable, as the studio has been operating them at a loss for over two years since the initial transition to maintenance mode.

Players can continue accessing the game until 1:00 p.m. EDT on the shutdown date. While sales of the full game and premium currency were halted yesterday, existing currency remains usable. Additionally, the free-to-play version, Zenith: Nexus, will remain available until November 18th.

The studio confirmed that there are no plans to release an offline version of the title. This closure marks the end for the crowdfunded project, which notably failed to deliver its promised standalone PC version.
