Following the closure of BioWare and the cancellation of Mass Effect 5 by EA, developer Archetype Entertainment has provided an updated look at its sci-fi RPG, Exodus. The studio, founded by former BioWare developers Chad Robertson, James Ohlen, and Drew Karpyshyn, is currently refining the game's visual assets.
The primary change involves a visual rework of the male protagonist, Jun Aslan. Compared to the version previewed by GameSpot in late August, which featured a distinct bone structure and five-o'clock shadow, the character now sports a completely redesigned face.
General manager Chad Robertson stated that this adjustment was a direct response to player feedback gathered over recent months. The team emphasized that they are actively listening to community input while continuing to refine the game's characters and overall development.
While the female version of Jun remains unrevealed, the developers confirmed she is coming soon. Exodus is scheduled for release on April 7, 2027, and is currently available for wishlisting on Steam, the Epic Games Store, the PlayStation Store, and the Xbox Store.
