Gray Zone Warfare has released its Rogue Ops update, introducing significant changes to the tactical extraction shooter. The update brings new locations, seven additional weapons, and over 370 new weapon parts to the game. Players can now utilize a crafting system for medical items, stims, and electronic tools, while account wipes have been officially retired.

The update introduces a character system allowing up to four characters per account, with each tied to a specific faction and game mode. While players retain progression from the previous update, equipment and money are reset. Healing mechanics have been streamlined, allowing treatment for entire body parts rather than individual injuries, and the bleeding system has been reworked to reduce rates across the board.

AI behavior has received extensive improvements, with NPCs now demonstrating smarter combat decision-making, better awareness, and more effective use of cover. Some factions can now utilize grenades to flush players out, and AI difficulty has been increased in Tier 3 and Tier 4 areas. Additionally, performance has been optimized, with internal benchmarks showing up to 10% higher FPS.

The Rogue Ops update is currently available for players, who must select a game mode upon starting. The developers have also implemented various anti-cheat improvements and fixed over 100 crashes. New tasks, including long-term contracts and hideout-related objectives, have been added to the game world.
