Epic Games has scheduled the 2026 AI MegaJam to commence on November 12. Participants are invited to form teams of up to five humans and utilize unlimited AI agents to develop playable games using Unreal Engine or Unreal Editor for Fortnite.
Developers are encouraged to integrate various AI tools into their workflows, ranging from coding agents to asset generation. The event aims to provide a platform for creators to prototype experimental mechanics or explore ambitious art styles within a four-day timeframe ending on November 15.
The competition offers cash prizes provided by Epic Games, with additional credits for specific AI tools offered by event partners. Interested individuals can register through the official itch.io page, while a kickoff livestream on November 11 will reveal the event theme and further details.
While the jam is accessible online, an in-person component will take place at Digital Jungle in San Francisco on November 14-15. Registration for these limited physical spots opens on November 1 at 7 AM PST / 10 AM EST.
