Key information
Rockstar Games has intensified its promotional campaign for GTA 6, introducing television advertisements that feature minor variations compared to the original launch trailer. Fans have identified that these spots include slightly extended sequences, though the differences are subtle.
The 30-second television edit removes the shower scenes featuring Jason and Lucia. Conversely, it incorporates longer shots of an airplane sequence and a moment where Jason nudges Lucia, causing her to nearly fall. A separate 90-second version retains the shower scenes while including these extended clips.
Notably, the Xbox logo is absent from these television spots, which is attributed to a reported promotional partnership between Rockstar and Sony. Despite this omission in the advertisements, the game is still scheduled to launch on November 19 for both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Beyond traditional media, the marketing strategy involves real-world Burger Shot and Cluckin' Bell locations. Financial reports indicate that preorders are outpacing other major AAA titles from the last five years, with projections suggesting the game could generate $2 billion in revenue prior to its release.
