Blizzard Entertainment has confirmed that significant content remains hidden in World of Warcraft: Forever, even following the conclusion of the game's beta phase. Senior game designer Josh Greenfield stated that the development team intentionally disabled various items and secrets during testing to preserve surprises for the official launch and future updates.

The beta testing period, which capped player progression at level 30, excluded numerous zones, quests, dungeons, and raids. Greenfield noted that specific features, such as a torch item used to demonstrate new lighting and fog technology, were only partially available during the testing window to ensure technical stability while keeping other discoveries under wraps.

Regarding potential gameplay shifts, such as a melee-oriented Battle Mage build enabled by a rare sword, developers have declined to provide details. Greenfield emphasized that the team aims to protect the discovery process, suggesting that revealing too much information would diminish the enjoyment for the community.

To prevent early leaks, Blizzard implemented a system that obscures item names and statistics from dataminers. At the start of the beta, over 12,500 items were withheld from public view. Consequently, players remain unaware of specific loot tables for dungeon bosses and the nature of various quest rewards.
