Blizzard is offering players a chance to experience World of Warcraft: Forever for free during a limited-time server stress test. Starting Oct. 22, individuals with a World of Warcraft account can access the game without needing an active subscription or special edition purchase.
The event is designed to evaluate server stability ahead of the official launch on November 4. Participants should anticipate significant technical hurdles, including crowded starting zones, long queues, and intense competition for quest objectives that may hinder progress.
Players will begin from scratch on the stress test server, as the event serves primarily as a preview of potential launch day conditions. Regular beta servers will remain offline during this window, though they are scheduled to return afterward.
Access requires the Battle.net launcher, with specific regional windows provided for the test. US West Coast players can join from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. PDT, while East Coast participants have access from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. EDT.
