Key information
The Delta gaming emulator has launched version 2.0, introducing significant updates including support for Apple’s iPhone Duo, Sega Genesis titles, and a redesigned user interface. Creator Riley Testut confirmed that the update optimizes the experience for the foldable device, allowing users to emulate Nintendo DS games with specific features tailored to the hardware.
Delta 2.0 enhances the iPhone Duo experience by supporting controller skins for both portrait and landscape orientations. Notably, folding the device triggers a sleep mode for emulated DS games, mimicking the behavior of original hardware. The interface has been overhauled to align with Apple’s Liquid Glass design language, ensuring adaptability across various screen sizes.
New features include Sega Genesis support with classic-style controller skins and a DLC system for mainline Game Boy Advance Pokémon titles. Additionally, experimental support for Epilogue’s GB/SN Operator gadgets allows users to play physical cartridges on their devices. Users can also apply custom visual filters, such as CRT-inspired overlays, to their gameplay.
Delta 2.0 is now available globally on the Apple App Store, marking its first release on the EU marketplace alongside AltStore PAL. The update also introduces in-app purchases through a new patron program, alongside library management improvements like dedicated pages for recent and favorite games.
