8BitDo has officially unveiled the Arcade Controller Pro, a new peripheral designed for faster inputs through tighter button groupings and smaller button sizes. The device is currently available for pre-order on Amazon for $119.99 in white or black and red color schemes, with an official release date scheduled for November 30, 2026.
The controller features a tempered glass faceplate containing 17 buttons, plus additional shortcut controls. Users can remap P1-P5 buttons on-the-fly using an integrated display powered by the company's Ultimate Software. The unit includes a magnetic wrist-rest with lock caps to prevent accidental inputs, and the faceplate conceals a tool for switch removal along with three spare switches.
Internally, the hardware utilizes Kailh Core Green low-profile linear mechanical switches compatible with the Choc V2 standard, allowing for potential user customization. Software capabilities include macro creation, RGB lighting adjustments, and button remapping via Ultimate Software V2. Furthermore, the device incorporates a tournament lock and a built-in SOCD cleaning function.
Connectivity options include Bluetooth and a low-latency 2.4 GHz wireless mode for Android and Nintendo Switch, though the latter is limited to 15 hours of battery life when RGB lighting is disabled. The controller also provides dual USB Type-C ports, with the rear port featuring a metal cable lock for secure connections.
