Thekla has announced that Order of the Sinking Star, the puzzle game from Jonathan Blow, will receive physical releases for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 in 2027. These versions are being developed in collaboration with PM Studios.
The title features over 1000 puzzles across an interconnected world, blending four distinct styles inspired by sokoban mechanics. The game, which launched on October 8, 2026, has seen strong initial performance, reportedly selling 45% more units in its first week than The Witness did during a comparable period.
The physical editions will include the complete game on the media, with the PS5 version containing a disc and the Switch 2 version featuring the full game on the cartridge. The developer explicitly confirmed that the Switch 2 release will not be a download-only key.
Pricing is set at 34,99 dollars for the PS5 edition and 49,99 dollars for the Switch 2 version. While pre-orders are currently available at selected retailers, details regarding potential collector's editions or specific distribution plans for Spain remain unconfirmed.
