On October 22, 2026, Pocketpair revealed new details regarding the upcoming Ashlands major update for the early access PC title Windrose. This expansion is scheduled for release this winter.
Windrose is an open-world survival crafting game set during the golden age of piracy. Players engage in exploration, base building, and naval combat within this maritime environment.
The update introduces significant UI improvements, including a refreshed HUD for health and status effects, as well as an updated conversation screen that supports text size adjustments. Additionally, the Adventure tab will feature a new Faction screen, allowing players to manage reputations, trade goods, and track quests in one centralized location.
Furthermore, the developers are adding 10 new sea shanties to the game. These songs will now exist as individual items, enabling players to view lyrics within their inventory or organize tracks into custom playlists.
