Key information

Team Peak, a collaboration between studios Aggro Crab and Landfall, has officially released their cooperative mountaineering game, Peak, on PlayStation 5. The project originated from a friendship formed at the 2022 Game Developers Conference, leading the teams to develop the title during a month-long game jam in Seoul, South Korea, in February 2025.

In Peak, players navigate a mysterious island as scouts attempting to scale a central mountain. The gameplay emphasizes cooperation, requiring players to stay close and assist one another to survive environmental threats like hunger, fog, and various hazards. The game features four distinct biomes filled with obstacles, including tornadoes, toxic clouds, birds, and zombies.

Survival mechanics require players to scavenge for food and treat injuries, as each wound reduces stamina and complicates the ascent. To accommodate different playstyles, the developers included customization options that allow users to adjust the difficulty of their experience. The game also supports crossplay, enabling users to climb with friends across different platforms.

The PlayStation 5 version includes all content updates, biomes, and items released since the game's initial launch on PC. This release allows console players to join existing scout missions and participate in custom matches, which include features like the ability to kick friends.
