Blizzard has officially announced an extension for the World of Warcraft: Forever beta test. The testing period is now scheduled to conclude on October 23.
The decision follows feedback from players who expressed a desire to continue exploring the game after the initial testing phase. While Blizzard previously considered extending the period until November 3 to minimize downtime before the official launch, the final confirmed date is October 23.
Players can utilize this additional time to further test game systems, character classes, and professions. However, all progress made during the beta, including character data, server information, and items, will be reset before the official release and will not carry over to the live servers.
Following the conclusion of the beta, Blizzard will open character name reservations from October 27 to November 3. During this window, players can secure names for up to three characters ahead of the game's full launch.
