The Epic Games Store has launched a limited-time promotion featuring the cooperative horror shooter Sker Ritual. Developed by Wales Interactive, the title is available for users to claim and keep permanently in their digital libraries until October 29 at 23:00.
Serving as a spiritual successor to the 2020 game Maid of Sker, this installment continues the narrative from the previous title's evil ending. Players join a squad of up to four people to defend against waves of supernatural enemies known as the Quiet Ones, who have overrun the Sker region.
The gameplay follows a classic round-based survival structure reminiscent of the zombies mode in Call of Duty. Participants earn miracles to enhance their combat abilities, including shooting, melee, and healing, while also utilizing ultimate skills to clear large groups of foes.
To survive, players can visit Smiling Policeman stalls to purchase or gamble for high-tier weaponry. Additionally, the game allows for the modification of firearms into steampunk-style armaments through the use of superchargers found throughout the maps.
