Insomniac Games has detailed the extensive Photo Mode features available in Marvel's Wolverine, which launched one month ago. The toolset allows players to capture high-quality images by utilizing virtual lighting equipment, custom poses, and various filters. Players can access the mode via the pause menu or assign a shortcut to the DualSense controller buttons.
The mode offers significant creative control, including five independent light sources with adjustable intensity and color spectrums. Users can manipulate Logan’s position and expression, change his outfits or claws, and even toggle the visibility of NPCs. A unique Action Figure mode allows players to shrink Logan into a miniature version while retaining full movement capabilities.
Technical options include adjusting game speed by 30, 50, or 70 percent to capture precise combat moments. While the developer notes that character models may overlap during positioning, they suggest that strategic camera angles can hide these imperfections. Additionally, players can customize the amount of blood and damage visible on Logan’s character model.
For navigation, a chapter selection menu accessible from Logan’s cabin allows players to revisit specific locations like Canada or Shinjuku. The interface is designed with multiple tabs, and users can reposition the UI to either side of the screen to ensure it does not obstruct their composition during the creative process.
