Key information

Capcom has publicly confirmed that unauthorized individuals gained access to its servers, compromising the details of more than 11 million Capcom ID accounts. The security breach was detected this week, exposing a total of 11,774,247 accounts.

The intruder accessed email addresses, account creation dates, IP addresses, and login timestamps. For 43 specific accounts, the unauthorized party also viewed birthdays, countries, regions, and nicknames. Capcom explicitly stated that credit card information was not accessed during the incident.

While passwords were not stolen, the attacker managed to change the passwords for 196 accounts without authorization. To prevent users from losing access, the company has already reset these credentials.

Capcom is currently notifying affected users and advises everyone to exercise caution regarding suspicious emails from unknown addresses. The company continues to monitor the situation following the discovery of the breach.
