Developer LOOIFEND GAMES officially launched the Steam Early Access version of its first-person horror roguelite, SAKIMORI, on October 22, 2026. Players assume the role of a guardian tasked with locating and purifying cursed objects that threaten the balance of the world.
The gameplay loop involves exploring stages within a time limit to gather spiritual elements via sonar pulses, which are used to upgrade weaponry. Players must survive constant enemy attacks while performing purification rituals at shrines, balancing the speed of completion against the intensity of incoming waves.
The current build includes school map exploration, combat, permanent pre-stage upgrades, and weapon enhancement systems. The developers anticipate the Early Access phase will last between 6 and 12 months, with plans to expand content, add new exploration areas, and implement Steam achievements for the full release.
SAKIMORI is currently available on Steam. A launch promotion is active until November 5, 2026, offering the title at a 20% discount for 240 yen.
