Final Fantasy XIV is introducing a unique typing-based minigame titled Keybound Brawler. Scheduled for release on October 28th, this event features a Final Fantasy VII theme where participants must type accurately to defeat incoming waves of enemies.
The gameplay mechanics require players to utilize a keyboard to succeed in combat. This requirement applies to all platforms, including consoles, where a physical keyboard is necessary to engage with the typing challenges effectively.
Participants can earn various rewards, such as a Magitek Scorpion mount, a miniature Barret pet, and a typing-themed emote. Additionally, the event offers outfits modeled after Barret and Tifa, though these items are restricted by gender.
The activity will be hosted within the Gold Saucer until the launch of Evercold. While the developers indicate the minigame is expected to return periodically in the future, players currently have a limited window to participate in the initial run.
