GALAX has officially introduced its GeForce RTX 5080 Hall Of Fame Extreme edition, distinguishing itself as the sole RTX 5080 model equipped with two 12V-2x6 power connectors. The manufacturer clarifies that these dual connectors are not intended for simultaneous use but rather serve as flexible options for cable management.
The card features a unique design where one connector sits in the standard top position, while the second is hidden behind the shroud near the PCIe x16 slot. Internally, the hardware utilizes a 20-phase power delivery system for the GPU and a 4-phase design for the GDDR7 memory, all mounted on a custom white PCB with gold-plated connections.
Performance varies by mode, with the OC Mode pushing the TGP to 400 W and clock speeds to 2,805 MHz. Alternatively, the Gaming Mode adheres to NVIDIA's 360 W reference TGP with a 2,655 MHz clock speed. The card utilizes GDDR7 memory running at 30 Gbps across a 256-bit bus, providing 960 GB/s of bandwidth.
The GALAX GeForce RTX 5080 Extreme is currently exclusive to the Chinese market, priced at 19,999 Yuan, or approximately 2,995 US Dollars. It remains uncertain if the product will see a release in Western regions, though its specialized design is expected to appeal to global enthusiasts.
