Hamster Corporation is expanding its Arcade Archives series with the addition of Ace Driver Victory Lap, a title originally released in 1996. This game represents a significant piece of history from the era when Namco operated independently from Bandai.
The game was a pioneering polygonal release for Namco's System 22 arcade hardware. Notably, this title never received a home console port during its original lifespan, making it a rare entry in the company's catalog.
The new home port features three distinct gameplay modes. Furthermore, the Arcade Archives release introduces a Time Trial mode and support for VRR on compatible platforms, enhancing the experience for modern players.
Ace Driver Victory Lap joins a growing collection of System 22 titles available for home play, including Ridge Racer, Air Combat 22, Aqua Jet, Tokyo Wars, Rave Racer, Cyber Commando, Ace Driver, Armadillo Racing, and Cyber Cycles.
