Activision Blizzard Japan has announced that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is scheduled for release on October 23. The title will be available on PC, Nintendo Switch 2, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, with multiplayer modes accessible immediately upon launch.
At launch, players will have access to 12 core 6v6 maps, including Cachette, which features a disused wine warehouse and auto repair shop, the former Soviet coal facility Coal, and the South Korean fishing village Lotus. Additionally, the Shipment map is slated to return on October 27.
The game also introduces three 32v32 Ground War maps: the rural Imjin Farmland, the dense urban environment of Wolves Stadium, and the wooded hills of Forest.
Beyond map variety, the developer confirmed that over 12 multiplayer modes will be available at launch. This selection includes new additions such as Inflation, Hijack, Collateral, and Combat Outpost.
