Key information
Following the release of the second season of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, viewers are already expressing interest in further animated stories set within Night City. The series has garnered significant attention for its quality, leading to public demand for additional content.
Bartosz Sztybor, a writer and key figure behind the project, addressed the possibility of a third season in an interview with ComicBook. He expressed a willingness to work on future installments, though he noted that replicating the success of previous seasons is a complex task.
Sztybor stated that a third season would require a perfect story and the right creative team, including a director, artist, or studio capable of maintaining the established quality. He did not confirm or deny whether Netflix is currently considering another season.
Originally, the series was intended to be a single-season project focused on David Martinez. However, due to fan pressure, CD Projekt RED, Netflix, and Studio Trigger collaborated again for the second season. Given the vast potential for storytelling in Night City, future developments remain a possibility.
