Spike Chunsoft announced on October 22 that it has updated the PC system requirements for the upcoming high-speed deduction game, Super Danganronpa 2x2. This title, a remake of the original game, is scheduled for release on January 14, 2027, across multiple platforms including PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch consoles.
The game features both an original mode with refreshed visuals and a new Kyoki mode, which offers a distinct scenario with different victims and tricks. Players navigate daily life on an island, investigate crime scenes, and participate in class trials to identify culprits using collected evidence.
Initial requirements were criticized for being excessively high, matching those of Monster Hunter Wilds. Producer Shohei Sakakibara previously explained that the original recommendations assumed 4K resolution. Following feedback, the updated specifications now categorize requirements by resolution, significantly lowering the hardware demands for both CPU and GPU across all tiers.
The updated minimum requirements for Full HD now list an Intel Core i5-10500 or AMD Ryzen 5 2600X, 8GB of RAM, and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 1660 or AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT. Additionally, the required storage space has been reduced to 30GB, though the Digital Deluxe Edition requires 40GB.
