Capcom has identified a security breach involving unauthorized access to its Capcom ID system, which supports online play for titles such as the Street Fighter series. The incident, reported on October 22, 2026, affects 11,774,247 accounts.

The compromised data includes email addresses and identification details like account creation dates, last session timestamps, IP addresses, and connection counts. While passwords were not generally compromised, 196 accounts experienced unauthorized password changes and have been reset by the company.

A very small subset of 43 accounts had their birth dates, gender, country, and registered aliases accessed. Capcom confirmed that credit card information remains secure and was not part of the data breach.

Capcom warns users to remain cautious of potential phishing emails impersonating the company. The publisher advises against clicking suspicious links or opening attachments and is currently investigating the incident to implement further security measures.
